A letter from our founder

To our customers, with thanks.

On the new customised range, the standards behind it, and why we still make everything in our own workshop in Meadowdale.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your continued support of NovahTech. Whether you have ordered a single mirror, a table top for a family kitchen, or fitted out an entire building with our glass and aluminium, you are the reason this workshop still runs. I do not take that lightly, and I do not want it to become something we say without meaning it.

So I am writing with news I am genuinely excited about: we have launched a new range of customised glass and aluminium products, designed around your needs rather than around what is easiest for us to manufacture. Shower doors measured to your actual opening. Table tops cut to your shape, with the corners you asked for. Aluminium doors, shop fronts, balustrades and mirrors made to your drawing instead of trimmed to the nearest standard size.

You should never have to design your home around a glass supplier's standard sizes. Now you don't have to.

A word on why this took time. Custom work has always meant a certain amount of hoping — hoping the opening was measured straight, hoping the panel arrives unmarked, hoping the hinge packets match the door. We have spent the past year rebuilding the process at the front end so that most of that hoping disappears. Every job now starts with a drawing. You see the shape, the dimensions and the fittings before we cut a single panel, and you keep a numbered copy for your records. If something on that drawing is wrong, we catch it on paper where it is cheap to fix, not on your wall.

What we will not compromise on

We only use SABS-approved products and local suppliers. That is not a slogan; it decides who we buy from. Our glass is supplied toughened and laminated to SANS requirements, our hardware comes from established South African distributors, and our aluminium extrusions are locally produced. It also means something practical for you: shorter lead times, fittings that are still available in five years when one hinge needs replacing, and money that stays inside the local industry that employs the people who make your order.

Fabrication, delivery and installation all stay under one roof. The team that measures is the team that is answerable when the door is hung. We deliver and install across Gauteng from Meadowdale and nationwide through our partners, and we quote a real lead time rather than a hopeful one.

Made to your measurements

Shower doors to your opening, table tops to your shape, aluminium to your drawing. You approve a numbered drawing before anything is cut.

SABS-approved materials

We specify SABS-approved glass and hardware, toughened and laminated to SANS standards. No substitutions without telling you first.

Local suppliers, local stock

Our glass, extrusions and fittings come from South African suppliers — shorter lead times, spares that still exist in five years.

Fitted by our own teams

Fabrication, delivery and installation stay under one roof, so the person accountable for the fit is the person who measured it.

If you are a contractor, architect or designer, the trade programme gives you trade pricing, drawing support and a single point of contact for the whole project. If you are a homeowner doing one job, you get the same drawing, the same materials and the same team. I want the standard to be identical either way.

Thank you again for choosing us, and for the referrals and honest feedback many of you have sent over the years. Both are why this range exists. If you have a project in mind, send it through — even if it is still a rough sketch on the back of an envelope. We will tell you honestly whether we can build it, what it will cost, and how long it will take.

Our doors in Meadowdale are open, and you are welcome to walk the workshop and see how your order is made.
