Both are safety glass. Which one suits your opening depends on the span, the pitch and what sits below it.
Laminated safety glass
Two panes bonded to a safety interlayer. The safest choice for overhead glazing — the glass stays in the frame if it breaks, and it holds the opening closed. Also available as low-iron, frosted, bronze or grey.
Toughened safety glass
Heat-treated for impact strength and thermal-shock resistance, with the crisp finish most roof glazing is specified in. Toughened glass is heat-soak tempered for roof use.
- Your size, frame and glass are drawn to scale before anything is cut.
- Laminated or toughened safety glass only — never ordinary float glass overhead.
- Roof pitch, falls, drainage, ventilation and fixings are confirmed on quotation.
