NovahTech Glass & Aluminium was founded in 2003 as part of the NovahTech Group, taking on custom glass and aluminium work alongside the group's wider interests. The business has since become an independent entity focused solely on aluminium, automation, roller shutters and glass solutions — a narrower, deeper specialisation that lets us serve a growing client base properly, with our own fabrication, teams and accountability rather than a spread of unrelated trades. We work from our Johannesburg base, cutting, edging, polishing and finishing glass to measurement, then delivering and installing it nationwide through our own teams and accredited partners.
Our work sits at the point where design meets building regulations. Safety glass is a legal requirement in doors, low-level glazing and balustrades, so every enquiry is assessed for the correct glass type, thickness and certification before a price is given. Nothing is cut until the sizes and the specification have been drawn, checked and approved.
That approach is supported by a digital backbone: online configurators, database-driven pricing, and a drawing engine that issues a numbered sheet for every job. Clients can see exactly what will be manufactured, and trades and project teams can quote, track and manage their own orders through the NovahTech PRO portal.
The company is led by Diego Raier, who has been in the industry since 1997 — 29 years of trading at the highest commercial level in the country. That experience sits behind the way we assess a site, specify safety glass and run a project, which are the details that decide whether an installation still performs a decade later.
We are an accredited member of SAGGA, the South African Glass & Glazing Association, and we issue Certificates of Compliance for the installations we complete. Whether the job is one shelf cut for a home study or a shop front rollout for a national retailer, the standard is the same.

Our head office and works at 17 Brickfield Road, Meadowdale is the base for glass cutting, aluminium fabrication and our installation teams. From Gauteng we service the surrounding provinces — Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West and the Free State — with delivery and on-site installation.
Durban & KwaZulu-Natal
Durban and the wider KwaZulu-Natal region are served with the full range: shower doors, glass table tops, mirrors, aluminium doors, shop fronts and automatic entrances, supplied and installed by teams working in the province.
KZN South Coast
From Durban down the South Coast we deliver and install for homeowners, guest houses, lodges and retail premises, with hardware and finishes specified for the coastal environment.
Cape Town & Western Cape
Cape Town and the Western Cape are covered for supply, delivery and installation, so clients in the Cape deal with the same drawings, specification and workmanship standards as our Johannesburg jobs.

Glass cut, edged and finished to your exact measurements in 6mm to 19mm toughened or laminated safety glass — rectangles, squares, rounds, ovals, pentagons, triangles and quarter rounds, with flat polished, bevelled or pencil-polished edges.

Specify and design
Tell us the opening, the product and the finish — online through our configurators, or over the phone with a technical consultant. We confirm the glass type, thickness and safety requirements against the intended application before quoting.
- 02
Measure and draw
Sizes are confirmed on site or against your own drawings. Every panel is then drawn to scale on a numbered NovahTech drawing sheet, so what you approve is what gets manufactured.
- 03
Fabricate
Cutting, edge work and polishing are done to the drawing. Toughening and laminating are processed through accredited glass processors, and double-glazed units are assembled to the specification quoted.
- 04
Inspect and pack
Each pane is inspected for size, edge finish and glass type before it leaves the works, then crated in protective packaging built for glass transport.
- 05
Deliver, install and certify
Nationwide delivery with free delivery on qualifying orders, followed by installation by our teams. Certificates of Compliance and the drawings for the installation are issued on completion.
Standards, Certification and Compliance
Glass is a safety product before it is a design product. This is how we keep installations lawful, insurable and safe.
SANS 10400, Part N — Glazing
Safety glass is required wherever glass sits in a door, in low-level glazing or in a balustrade. We flag those positions at quoting stage and specify toughened or laminated safety glass to suit.
SANS 1263 safety glass
Toughened and laminated glass is supplied from accredited processors with its safety glass certification and markings intact — never substituted with ordinary annealed glass to save cost.
SAGGA accredited member
NovahTech is an accredited member of the South African Glass and Glazing Association, the industry body that sets the glazing standards our work is measured against.
Certificates of Compliance
Standard COCs and Competent Person COCs are issued through our compliance desk for glass, aluminium, door and shop front installations, with the applicable fee confirmed before work starts.
Guarantees and trading terms
Aluminium installation workmanship carries a twelve-month guarantee. Every quotation is issued with our 14-point standard trading terms, plus any project-specific terms the site requires.
Our SAGGA Membership
Membership of the industry body is how we hold our work to a national standard rather than our own opinion of it.
Membership that a client can check
NovahTech is an accredited SAGGA member. It means our glazing, aluminium and shop front work is measured against the same national standards as the rest of the industry, our safety glass is sourced from certified processors, and our certificates of compliance are issued on that basis.
